A word about prices...

As you can imagine, factors that influence prices are myriad.  In addition to the cost of materials and supplies, there is payroll, insurances, rent, taxes, uniforms, utilities, advertising, profit (hopefully!) and much more.  We would be lying to you if we said we are the lowest price shop in town; we are not!  We do think we do our best to offer value for your dollar while trying to assure that we will still be here to serve you the next time you need us.  We have managed to do this for over 30 years, so....

The prices shown here are examples.  They do not apply to every car or truck or to every situation.  They are real prices that we quote every day, and are in effect as of February 11, 2010.  Of course, they can change at any time.  All prices are plus taxes and disposal fees (if applicable).

Lube,Oil,Filter-from $24.95 plus fees

includes draining crankcase oil, replace oil filter, chassis lube (if possible), installing up to 5 qts. 5W30, 10W30, 10W40 or 20W50 oil, (non-synthetic), lube all hinges and grommets, check belts, wipers, all fluid levels, air filter, lights, tire pressure, etc.  Additional parts and labor extra. 

You should have this service every 90 days or more often if you drive more than 1000 miles per month!

Want to save on gas?  Spend a few dollars more and put in synthetic oil.  At $2.60 or more per gallon, you'll save big!

A/C Recharge & System Check-

from $49.95

We're going to assume that if you need this service, your car is beyond the point of a "free" performance check.  We'll leak check your system, check all controls (for operation), check blower performance, etc.  If the solution to your problem is "topping off" with refrigerant, we'll add the right amount for the just the additional cost of the refrigerant.  If you need something more, you'll have two weeks to think about it to get this charge refunded if we perform the repair.

Brakes

from $199.95 / axle or $299.95 / f & r

Don't be fooled by those $79.95 come-ons or "lifetime" pad offers.  We install quality linings, machine the drums or rotors (if poss), pack bearings (if poss), bleeds, adjust, road test.

Tune-Up-from ????

Yet more confusion!  There is no such thing as the old "tune-up" anymore.  Cars today don't have points, condensers, most don't have caps or rotors, and spark plugs and wires can last up to or over 100,000 miles!  Now-a-days we have "Malfunc-tion Indicator Lamps" (MILs), cylinder misfires, oxygen sen-sors, etc.  When the cars runs poorly or the MIL lights up, you interface with the cars compu-ters to determine the problem and repair accordingly.  Some-times it is the plugs, sometimes not.

Axle Shaft / CV Joints

Here a loud clicking or feel a vibration when you turn a co-rner?  The problem could be a worn CV Joint.  We replace the entire shaft (usually brand new) w/both CV Joints, new boots,  and labor.  Wheel alignment not included if required.
